Booster Club

Welcome to Malvern Lax 2012 Season

The Malvern Lacrosse Booster Club is the social and fundraising arm of the Malvern Lacrosse teams. All parents of players are part of the booster club with activities and events coordinated by the parents of the Varsity captains. The JV teams will have a coordinator who will organize the JV team activities. Malvern Prep Lacrosse thrives due to the quality of its coaches, the support of the school and just as importantly, the involvement and commitment of our families. Volunteers are needed throughout the season and we hope for 100% participation from all of our lacrosse families.

Booster Fees: (made payable to Malvern Lacrosse Boosters due no later than 3/11)
Varsity Players: $175 per player ($200 cap per family )
JV A and JVB: $60 per player

Booster fees are used throughout season including but not limited to the following items:

Varsity - hoagies for away games, coaches’ gifts, team photo for each player, lacrosse sponsorship of events (i.e. BASH, Katie Samson ad), laminated roster, senior day, funds for end of season Varsity party, senior players’ gifts, game videos and senior scrapbooks.

JV – hoagies for away game, coaches’ gifts, team photo for each player, lacrosse sponsorship of events (i.e. BASH, Katie Samson ad), funds for end of season JV party.

Important Dates

Season opening Mass for all teams: Sunday March 11 Chapel time: 9:00am
EVANFEST: Saturday April 14
Senior Day and last in season home game: Thursday April 26
Katie Samson tournament: Saturday April 28
Individual team season end parties: TBD

Volunteer Opportunities:

Act as point of contact for the team, coordinate Gatorade/pretzel schedule for games, report scores for website update, and coordinate year-end team party and coaches’ gifts.

Team Rosters – Joy Pancoast
Prepare, copy and laminate roster for distribution to families in beginning of season.

Game Programs for home varsity games – open two volunteers
Prepare and make 75 copies of program with opponent and our rosters for distribution for home games only. Time commitment is approx. one hour per home game. Copy cost reimbursable. Program template available.

Game photos are posted on Malvernpreplax.org so if you are at one of the games and like to take photos we would love to include them on website. This is Warren’s last year so good time to let the sports photographer in you come out and learn the “ropes” from the pro Warren.

Scrapbook Committee -
Every senior is given a scrapbook including photos and articles of each game that he played on the varsity team. Each volunteer is assigned a game(s) to design the pages to be included in the scrapbook. Volunteers get together throughout the season to put together scrapbooks and socialize. Great activity for non-senior parents to learn about process. If anyone has access to color copier please let us know
